256 × 192 Thermal Imaging

The monocular uses a 256 × 192 infrared thermal detector with a 12 μm pixel pitch to detect differences in heat across the observed environment.

Unlike conventional optical night-vision devices that depend on visible or supplemental illumination, thermal imaging detects infrared energy emitted by objects and converts temperature differences into a visible thermal image.
