384 × 288 VOx Thermal Imaging

The TS-335LRF uses a 384 × 288 uncooled vanadium oxide (VOx) thermal detector with a 12 μm pixel pitch.

The detector senses infrared energy emitted by objects and converts differences in temperature into a visible thermal image. This allows users to observe heat signatures without relying on conventional visible illumination.

The 384×288 sensor provides useful thermal detail for outdoor observation, including wildlife monitoring, property inspection, equipment checks and scanning larger outdoor areas.

35mm F1.0 Objective Lens

The 35mm F1.0 thermal objective lens is designed to provide a practical balance between field of view, subject detail and medium-to-long-distance thermal observation.

Combined with the 384×288 thermal detector, the 35mm lens makes the TS-335LRF suitable for observing heat signatures across open outdoor environments.

Integrated Laser Rangefinder

The TS-335LRF features an integrated Laser Rangefinder (LRF) for measuring the distance to compatible observed targets.

The supplied specifications list LRF ranging capabilities of approximately 1,000 to 1,500 metres, depending on the target and operating conditions.

Rangefinder performance can vary according to target size, surface reflectivity, atmospheric conditions, viewing angle and other environmental factors.

Long-Range Thermal Detection

The supplied specifications list thermal detection distances of up to approximately:

Human-Sized Target: 1,450 metres
Vehicle-Sized Target: 3,400 metres

These figures represent thermal detection distances, not guaranteed recognition or identification distances.

Detection means that a thermal object may be distinguishable from its background. The ability to recognise or positively identify an object requires greater image detail and will generally occur at shorter distances.

Actual performance depends on target dimensions, temperature contrast, weather conditions, atmospheric conditions, lens focus and device settings.

1×, 2× & 4× Digital Zoom

Selectable 1×, 2× and 4× digital enlargement allows users to increase the apparent size of thermal subjects on the display.

Digital zoom electronically enlarges the captured thermal image and does not increase the native 384×288 sensor resolution. Fine detail may therefore decrease at higher zoom levels.

Picture-in-Picture Mode

The Picture-in-Picture (PIP) function displays an enlarged section of the thermal image while preserving the wider scene.

This provides a convenient way to examine smaller or more distant heat signatures while maintaining awareness of the surrounding environment.

Hotspot Tracking

Built-in hotspot tracking can identify and highlight the warmest visible area within the thermal scene.

This feature can be useful for equipment inspection, property monitoring and general heat-source location.

Hotspot tracking identifies temperature differences and should not be interpreted as automatic object identification.

Multiple Thermal Colour Palettes

Choose between multiple thermal viewing modes to adapt the display to different environments and personal preferences.

Listed modes include:

  • White Hot

  • Black Hot

  • Pseudocolour

Additional palette options may be available depending on the production firmware.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity supports wireless image transmission and compatible connected-device functionality.

Available wireless features may vary according to the compatible mobile application, firmware version and connected device.

Photo & Video Recording

The TS-335LRF supports photo capture and video recording, allowing thermal observations to be documented for later review.

Recording resolution and available storage capacity may depend on the selected product configuration.

Rechargeable Battery

A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides portable cordless operation, with a listed operating time of more than approximately four hours under stated conditions.

Actual battery life may vary according to Wi-Fi use, video recording, display settings, rangefinder use, digital zoom, environmental temperature and battery condition.

IP66 Environmental Protection

The TS-335LRF carries a listed IP66 protection rating, providing a dust-tight enclosure and resistance to strong water jets under controlled test conditions.

IP66 does not mean the device is designed for underwater use or continuous immersion.

Suitable Applications

The TS-335LRF is suitable for a variety of thermal observation applications, including:

  • Wildlife observation

  • Farm and livestock monitoring

  • Property monitoring and inspection

  • Camping and outdoor exploration

  • Night-time observation

  • Search-support activities

  • Equipment inspection

  • General heat-source detection

  • Remote-area observation

  • Long-distance thermal surveying

  • General thermal imaging

Important Product Information

Thermal detection, recognition and identification distances are different measurements and should not be interpreted as the same capability.

Actual thermal performance depends on target size, temperature contrast, weather, humidity, atmospheric conditions, lens focus, distance and selected device settings.

Thermal imaging detects differences in infrared energy and does not provide the same type of visual image as a conventional daylight camera or colour digital night-vision device.

Safety & Care

Avoid pointing the thermal detector directly toward the sun, welding arcs or other intense energy sources that may damage the sensor.

Never direct the laser rangefinder toward people's eyes, aircraft, moving vehicles or other situations where laser exposure could create a safety hazard.

Use suitable batteries, chargers and accessories, and keep protective covers securely closed during outdoor operation. Follow applicable privacy, observation and laser-safety regulations.
